New Ambassador hotel and residence in Ussita

The new Ambassador hotel and residence in Ussita (MC) is a big example of reconstruction after earthquake. The project encloses different construction technologies, combining concrete, steel, prefabricated elements and main structure in wood.
Due to this complex structure, the design phase has been an integrated and crossed work between different disciplines and based on different softwares for study and modeling: Midas for calculation, Tekla and Revit for structural and architectural modeling.
The building consists of 3 blocks laying on a big concrete underground floor that rests on a foundation slab with  Continuous Flight Auger piles. Along the mountain side a big ground-retaining structure protects the building from the thrust of the ground. The upper main part of the building consists of 5 floors for rooms and apartments, made with wood structure and concrete stairs and elevator block.
